Anna Isatou Bah was born in Faji Kunda, The Gambia, is an autodidactic artist with a wide range of creativity.

Early school years brought her excellent results in Visual Arts like batiks (tie and dye), experimenting with natural pigments and different techniques.  The loss of her father interrupted her creative life and she followed her family obligations to support her mother and sisters.
Since 2019 Isatou Bah is working creative again in sculpturing upcycled materials and power and colourful paintings

(Art Brut) with mixed materials on canvas and wood, exhibited and sold at the craft markets & privat collectors in The Gambia.

Since 2025, Anna Isatou Bah has been studying and practicing various forgotten West African Arts, particularly woodcut and linocut printing techniques, in The Gambia. She is recognized as the only professional female Artist specializing in these forms in West Africa. In the coming months, she will participate in several workshops across Africa and the United Kingdom.
