I am born as OMAR CEESAY in April 1979 in Bakau, The Gambia.

Attended the Nursery School in Bakau Community Center and started my first steps with paintings and drawings with the age of nine years.

Mayor Wall Paintings became my favourite in young years, made from cheap cooking charcoel on house walls in my neighbourhood.

From the Bakau Nursery School i went to Bakau Primery School and to Secondery School from FORM 1 to 4.

At the age of 19 years, I decided to become a "Professional Artist / Painter", willing to accept all the struggles and complications in this profession.

I became a husband with a beautiful wife and a father of five kids.

To survive the daily life, I usually accept contracts for House Paintings and Artistic Designs. In this time the people started to call me "JOCKEY" and I use this name as a Artist till now.

During all the years, I could build up a International Clientel from Europe and Overseas, normaly customers who visit The Gambia frequently.
My Open Air Studio is at the Kunta Kinteh Beach Complex where my Customers can find me in the "High Season" from October to end of March.

Since 07/2025 I am a proud Member of the Art27 - Artist Collective and looking forward for more Exhibitions, new Clients and more Success.
